The Alabama Commission on Higher Education approved a $2.36 billion budget for public two- and four-year institutions, a $207 million increase over the 2022-2023 budget. The Alabama Legislature will vote on the proposed budget next year.  – Alabama Political Reporter

 

Tiffin motorhomes lays off staffers

The Tiffin Group, based in Red Bay, has said they will reduce staffing for the motorhome business. The decision comes amid “challenging RV market conditions,” according to the company’s president. – News 19

Brasfield & Gorrie breaks ground on Clemson athletics facilities

Birmingham-based Brasfield & Gorrie has broken ground on a $37.5 million expansion, including new and upgraded lakefront facilities for lacrosse, gymnastics and rowing, at Clemson University.
