Buffalo Rock Co. has opened its renovated Oxmoor Campus, a project that includes the addition of in-house blow molding capabilities.
The multiyear infrastructure strategy has included adding nearly 2 million square feet and investing more than $300 million in facilities and automation enhancements.
“Over the past five years, we’ve touched nearly every Buffalo Rock facility, modernizing and strengthening our infrastructure for the future,” said Matthew Dent, president and CEO, Buffalo Rock. “Relocating our corporate headquarters to Lakeshore last year was an important step in that strategy, creating the opportunity to reimagine the Oxmoor Campus and bring blow molding in-house. This project represents years of planning, investment and execution. While it marks the completion of a major chapter in our infrastructure journey, it also positions Buffalo Rock for greater efficiency, flexibility and growth for years to come.”
The Oxmoor Campus opened in 1966 with a 75,000-square-foot facility. The campus now encompasses 320,000 square feet.
The new blow molding operation occupies nearly 22,000 square feet inside Buffalo Rock’s Oxmoor Campus. The system can produce 20-ounce bottles at speeds of approximately 800 bottles per minute.
Buffalo Rock is the nation’s largest single family-owned Pepsi and Dr Pepper bottler.
