Drake State receives record ACCS donation
Drake State Community & Technical College has received a $5 million gift from the E. Hart Fund, the largest donation ever recorded from an individual in the Alabama Community College System’s history, according to the school. TVA, Plus Power bringing battery energy storage project to Jackson County
The Tennessee Valley Authority and Plus Power have entered into a 20-year agreement to bring a battery energy storage project to the Crawfish Creek site in Jackson County. Crawfish Creek Energy Storage will own the facility, but TVA will charge and dispatch energy from the battery system. – News 19
Former Fairhope hotel sells for $5.4 million
The former Baron’s Inn in Fairhope has sold for $5.4 million. The new owner plans to turn the property into the Little Point Scenic Inn, expected to open in early 2027. – News 5
