Historic motel closing for renovation
Birmingham’s historic A.G. Gaston Motel is closing temporarily for a $4 million renovation. The motel that served as the headquarters for the Birmingham Campaign during the Civil Rights Movement, hosting the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and others, will be closed for 18 months. – Bham Now
