Montgomery council votes to fund Jackson Hospital
The Montgomery City Council overrode a veto from Mayor Steven Reed to pass a resolution to fund struggling Jackson Hospital. Amendments to the resolution addressed some of Reed’s concerns. – Alabama Political Reporter

Thank You Books, a bookstore in Birmingham’s Crestwood neighborhood, is expanding and doubling in size. The bookstore will move into the space next door to its current location in 2026. – Bham Now
Tuscaloosa florist will help decorate White House
Glow Floral Event Design, a Tuscaloosa florist, will help decorate the White House for the holiday season. Tammy West, owner of the company, said she doesn’t know what they’ll be decorating, but she and her team will be in Washington from Nov. 23 through Dec. 1. – Bama Buzz
