New development coming on former Decatur Country Club site

Reid State opens new dormitories
Reid State Community College on Thursday opened its first on-campus housing facility, The Lions Den. The facility, a renovated former Red Roof Inn, will house almost 80 students. – Reid State Community College
Record enrollment at A&M for third straight year

Birmingham seafood restaurant named Alabama’s best
Bayonet in Birmingham has been named Best Seafood Restaurant in Alabama by the digital food publication The Takeout. Chef Rob and Emily McDaniel’s restaurant opened in March and in September was named to The New York Times’ The Gray Lady’s top 50 restaurants in the country. – Bham Now
