The Talladega Regional Visitors Center held its grand opening Thursday night, just a week before the Yellawood 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway. The center, on Court Square East, includes information about 50 local attractions and space for presentations and events. – Bama Buzz

Floriana, an Italian restaurant with locations in Washington, D.C., and Wilmington, North Carolina, will open its first Alabama location next year. The restaurant will open in Huntsville at the intersection of MidCity Drive and Stax Street. – AL.com
