UAB, UnitedHealthcare reach agreement

UAB Health System and UnitedHealthcare announced Thursday that they had reached a tentative agreement on a new health insurance contract. UAB had warned patients that their agreement was scheduled to expire at the end of July. – WBRC 6

Mercedes: Tariffs have cost $420 million in sales

Mercedes-Benz says it has lost about $420 million in sales this year due to auto tariffs, and the company will drop the prices of some new models. Under the new European Union trade deal, American cars shipped to Europe, which would include those produced in Vance, would not have tariffs. – AL.com

BCA mourns former chairman Lee

The Business Council of Alabama is mourning Robert “Bubba” Lee, chairman of the organization from 1995-1996. He and his brother, Tommy Lee, built the Baldwin County manufacturer Vulcan Inc. Bubba Lee died Tuesday.  – Business Council of Alabama
