Village Creek Development has unveiled a $32.5 million mixed-use development in West Homewood featuring two restaurants – El Barrio and Paramount – and retail, more dining and residential development. It’s planned for the site of a former Econo Lodge.  – AL.com

 

Tuscaloosa holds ribbon-cutting for park

The city of Tuscaloosa held a ribbon-cutting for improvements for Sokol Park North, which hosts a variety of sports tourism and leisure activities. Improvements included repaving parking lots, adding a traffic circle and improving storm water drainage.  – City of Tuscaloosa

Wallace State unveils EV truck for program

Wallace State Community College in Hanceville has unveiled a heavy-duty EV Kenworth truck that will be used in its diesel technology program. The truck was purchased with funds from a three-year $1.3 million grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission. – Wallace State Community College
